I joined the North Cumbria Scriptwriters after attending their 2025 script workshopping event at the theatre By the Lake. There I discovered exactly how a director can obtain exactly the performance they want – and need - from their actors.
I have been learning to write screenplays for almost 4 years. I’ve attended courses run by Oxford University and Glasgow’s Conservatoire, all with experienced and brilliant teachers. In that time, I have completed two feature-length screenplays and lots of shorts. One of the shorts, Psych Oh!, has recently been made into a short film, albeit written, directed and produced by me! It is currently being entered into national and international competition.
I have plans to make a second short film – the screenplay of which is being workshopped at this year’s NCS event in collaboration with TBTL.
My latest feature-length screenplay, set in Carlisle, is currently in development. I’d welcome discussions with producers, as I’m keen to showcase the talent we have here in Cumbria.
