Connect Three at Theatre by the Lake

Following the success at the Derwent Water Regatta on 7&8 July, the Elders' company performed all 4 plays written by Members of NCS in the Studio at Theatre by the Lake (TBTL) on Sunday, 15 July.

An appreciative audience of about 50 were a just reward for the excellent performance and commitment shown by all 8 actors over the past 10 weeks and their Director, Dave Cryer, Learning and Participation Manager at TBTL and the latest  Member of NCS.

Congratulations to our writers and a big thank you to all those at TBTL who made the event possible.

Derwent Water Regatta - 7 & 8 July 2018

Four short plays written by Members of the North Cumbria Scriptwriters were performed this weekend by the at the National Trust's Derwent Water Regatta.

The project, entitled Connect Three was performed by the Elders' Company at Theatre by the Lake (TBTL), a band of committed, energetic, talented over 55s and directed by Dave Cryer, Learning and Participation Manager at TBTL.  The plays were:

The Jeeves and Wooster Appreciation Society by Kevan France
Martha and the Monster by Anne Ginty
Bonnets and Curls by John Ward
As Good As It Gets by Martin Chambers

All four plays will be performed in the studio at TBTL, starting at 4pm on Sunday, 15 July.  Tickets are priced £5 and available from the TBTL website using the following link:
